Elio Dray writes stories about messy people making questionable decisions, falling in love at inconvenient times, and occasionally dealing with something deeply fucked up along the way.
His fiction tends to live somewhere between romance, speculative fiction, horror, and whatever happens when those genres are left unsupervised after midnight. At the center of it all, though, Elio is interested in people: the relationships we choose, the families we build, the things we carry, and the people we keep choosing even when loving them gets complicated.
When he isn’t writing, Elio is probably thinking about writing, talking about fictional people like they’re real, or getting an idea at an hour when any reasonable person would be asleep.
He writes most often after midnight.
Apparently, nothing good happens after midnight.
That’s why he writes then.
